Seaforth Toner vs Splash

Aomalley27

Shave Newbie
For anyone that's tried the aftershave Splash AND the toner from sea forth; how do they compare to each other (in terms of scent). I have the toner for each of the current sea forth offerings plus the splash for sea ice lime (that limited release from a year or two ago). I've found the Sea Spice Lime, and the Seaforth Spiced to both be EXACT match to their soap counterparts. However the Roman Spice, and the Blackwatch, are both quite different from their soaps. The Roman Spice toner is much more geranium and bergamot forward, whereas the Roman Spice soap is a grapefruit powerhouse. (I prefer the scent of the toner to the soap). The Blackwatch toner is very plum forward, maybe even plum dominant. Whereas the Blackwatch soap is definitely incense forward. I prefer the soap scent in this instance, as it's an almost exact match to those Knox gingerbread incense cones (I use those a lot during the yule season to burn in my German smoking dolls). Just wondering how the splashes compare to the toners, and more importantly, how close are they to their soap counterparts. (I'm considering picking up the Black watch splash to see if it complements the soap a little closer, and might do the same with the Roman Spice splash. Will most likely stick with the toners for Sea Spice Lime and Spiced, as those two are exact matches for their soaps).

The toner is a witch hazel and the splash is an alcohol based aftershave. Get both. They are very nice

I'm aware of that, my question is more "which is most similar/exact match to their corresponding soaps". I have all the toners, but only Sea Spice Lime and Spiced are exact matches to their soaps. Black watch and roman Spice are not. Just wondering if those splashes carry the scent notes more in line with their soaps.

The aftershave is a closer match imho. I have the toners for both you mentioned as well as the aftershaves and to me they are spot on

Ah, okay. I think I'll pick up the splashes then. The Blackwatch soap, I love, as you get a lot of the incense. To my nose, it's an exact match to the smell of the Knox Gingerbread incense cones. The toner, at least to my olfactory senses, is mainly plum. While nice, I prefer the scent of the soap. With Roman Spice, it's pretty much the opposite. The soap is very Grapefruit dominant, while the toner is a nice mingling of Geranium and Bergamot, with the grapefruit in the background. I much prefer the toner scent to the soap in that instance.
