Rockwell 6S vs Game Changer

The GC is a nice razor. I think you should get one.

Alternatively, I can lend you mine so you can try before you buy. I have both the .68 and .84 plates. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Sorry to revive this older thread, but I am wondering how the rest of the story went...

Did you get the GC and how did it fair compared to your Rockwell?

I use the Rockwell on 3 typically, and I'm now thinking of grabbing a GC 68. I don't know if I will like it or not, though. I am very much into smooth mild (but efficient) shaves.

See how well I do at cutting back, folks? Lol.
 
I never did get or even try the Game Changer. I'm super happy with the 6S and it's my go-to for travel.

Anyone else have an opinion... I have the 6s, which is great but heavy. The 6s could be more efficient, but I typically go for smoother shave (ala plate 3).

I found a GC with a Halo handle and both plates. Trying to decide if it'll actually be better for me (lighter, more efficient, but as smooth)?

I also have the Lupo which is good, but not as smooth as my RW.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks. [emoji846]
 
I'm accused of liking aggressive razors, I disagree. I like smooth but efficient. I use plate 5 of the 6s and have a game changer .84 OC with a Titanium handle, that is not quite as efficient as the 6s for me but nice and smooth to me. The .68 didn't do it for me, but may be a better fit for you Doug but it's trial an error to find what works for each individual. If you want I can send to you to try it ?

I appreciate the offer. I have a sale on the line, so I'm trying to figure it out and make a decision today. Under the gun, lol.

I am leaning towards getting it and just selling it if it's not what I hoped for. Got to satisfy the acquisition disorder somehow.
 
In my opinion, the .84 Gamechanger puts to shame the Rockwell 6S/C. It is comfortable enough to get a good shave yet aggressive enough to deliver an outstanding BBS shave every time.

Well, it's settled. I am officially buying the razor. If my wife asks where the money went, I'll just say it's all @Angelo85 fault. Lol.

I think I'll really like it. I am getting both plates... Lots of choices.
