Razorock MJ-90A Questions

"TSC's Shave Sales Deal Finder"
I've done a bit of searching this morning and I cannot find much on this (albeit older) razor. I see some brief mentions of the original being inefficient, and I believe it is supposed to be the RR version of a DE89. Then a very few mentions of the A (Agressive?) version. I'm curious how this razor compares to what I currently use.

As you all know I have the GC68, GC84, as well as a DE86. I actually like the DE86 with a medium (7'oclock black) blade. I have similar outcomes with my GC68 and the milder BIC blade. However, the GC84 is touch and go. I love it some (most) days, other I end up feeling like it was a bit too much. At these times, I frequently say too bad RR didn't make a GC76. Lol.

Anyone have some experience with the MJ-90A? I'd just love to find that sweet spot between the 68 and 84 (and not break the bank on a 100, 200, 500 razor).

Thanks folks!

Haven’t tried the MJ, but there is a RR Mamba .70 that has a following. At least in terms of blade gap it’s a mid point. The Lupo seems to get a lot of love too, though I haven’t seen a gap listed.

Thanks Gear.

I had a mamba 50, which I didn't like. Not sure the 70 would do me much better. Especially compared to the GC68.

Also had an aluminum Lupo. Didn't love it. Still liking the 68/84 best. Just hoping to find something smooth and in-between the two.

Someday in a perfect world, perhaps. Lol.

I have the older model of the MJ-90 that came with two plates. The mild plate is basically the same as a DE89. The aggressive plate is a little more aggressive. I am not sure how it compares to the Game Changer, but the MJ-90 is an improved version of the DE89 IMO.

Thanks @dkeester . 👍
