I’m ready to try a synthetic brush. I’ve heard they’re great for face lathering soaps, which is what I do most days.
I’m looking for a recommendation. I see an Edwin jagged, and a MÜHLE can be had for under $100
I would start with a Yaqi. They’re the best value when it comes to synthetics IMO. Soft, plenty of nice styles to choose from, plenty of lifts and settings, perfect at whipping up lathers with little effort.
My favorite are the Rainbow with “pony” knot and the Moka.
Don’t spend a lot on a synth. The 10, 20, and 30 dollar brushes are just as good, if not better than the more expensive ones. 2nd vote for Yaqi. Great brushes.
So I use my new synthetic brush today for the first time. A Muhle 25 mm synthetic fiber.
I can’t believe I waited so long to try one, but it’s amazing. Generated great lather from the Mitchellswoolfatsoap, feels good on the face not to firm, not too soft.
