pitting and black spots on straights

I was curious what is the best way to get rid of those black spots/pitting that apear on straights? any thoughts would be apreciated. thanks.

Typically sanding followed by hand polishing, though some black spots with take a lot of time if you want it to look brand new.
 
Start with high grit wet/dry sandpaper and work backward, then forward to remove scratch patterns. Be careful not to use excessive pressure. A lot depends what level of polish your going for.
 
here are some photos, if they are too hard to see i will take some out side in natural lighting.

You cod carefully try metal polish but remember that polish can also take away from your edge so you dont want it there unless your willing to hone. Some of the black goes in deep and you may be sanding away and find larger areas inside the razor. Devil spit is another name for it. Id keep them clean and dry and use them.
