I mean all Supermodel jokes a side...the guy on the box...he shaves his face? Yeah?Apparently they’re just for looking at...not even the box tells you what it’s for lol.
I think him seducing you with his eyes communicates all you need to know.I mean all Supermodel jokes a side...the guy on the box...he shaves his face? Yeah?
Sorry, that's what I meant. But I get my reds in a blue wrapper of course.I bet re-branded Israeli Reds. Personna is notorious for rebranding their blades.
Naaaaa... @woodpusher made a “supermodel” joke on my Shave journal and so now “zoolander” jokes abound. The advertising of the product seems confusing to me but what do I know...I have a gazzilion blades in storage!!!I think him seducing you with his eyes communicates all you need to know.
Me too...Sorry, that's what I meant. But I get my reds in a blue wrapper of course.
Right. So you're saying that isn't you on the box??Naaaaa... @woodpusher made a “supermodel” joke on my Shave journal and so now “zoolander” jokes abound. The advertising of the product seems confusing to me but what do I know...I have a gazzilion blades in storage!!!
Brother...no...Right. So you're saying that isn't you on the box??
@Cvargo thanks for your insight. Again, it just seems odd. I understand doing blades from a production standpoint for other companies ala, Crystal, Viking etc but taking the same blade and renaming under your own brand with different series or whatever something else so that the folks that regularly buy from you can’t even figure it out...just frustrating.
You would think the expense of rebranding for professional use would not make sense but if it exposes them to a new market they are sure to do it. Personna sells a "medical prep" blade that is exactly the same as the regular personna except that they are labeled and packaged for medical use. Both the regular and med prep are "comfort coated". and both claim to be made using technology that ensures the best edge possible. I used to think the med prep blades were sterilized but it turns out they are not. GEM also makes medical use blades that are essentially identical to the shaving blades. The GEM blades are used in pathology specimen prep and are available as standard and "degreased" so as to not contaminate specimens with manufacturing oils. By rebranding and packaging specifically for medical use Personna and GEM are able to have access to a highly regulated industry they might not have access to otherwise. That may be true @CBLindsay but if so the time and expense to create a specific line just for the professional market seems kind of boggling to me.
