Greetings from the "North Coast of America"! USMC vet here living the dream with wife and three kiddos in the CLE. Im into DE shaving for a bit over a year now. Proud, card carrying member of a neighborhood group of DE enthusiasts. We get together often for a 'focus group' to share stories and have a few pops. My collection is growing as I love the adventure, trying new products and scents, and honing my technique.

Welcome Dave! Glad you could join in.

What are some of your favorite traditional shaving hardware/software pieces right now?

Welcome Brother! You’ll discover a lot of us veterans running around here. Glad to have you as part of The Cadre. Can’t wait to hear more of your story.

I got started when my brother gifted me a '64 Gillette Slim adjustable. From there, I started acquiring vintage Gillettes like a crazy person. My favorite right now has gotta be the '70 Super Adjustable Black Beauty. As far as software, I dont have any vintage soaps. But, I stockpiled a good amount of vintage Avon splashes. I really like SeaZone and Tai Winds. Im always sniffing around for a nice vintage Old spice mug with puck and splash.

Welcome to the forum! We are always happy to have more "crazies," in the insane asylum with us! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It's hard to beat a vintage Gillette DE, good man!

Talk to me when you're ready to learn how to use a straight razor!

Welcome to the Cadre! Marine Vet here also. Pay no attention to @Spider he is Barely a Vet being affiliated with that easy way of life in the Chair Force... 🤪 . Albeit, his job was likely way cooler than ours, and probably way easier than picking up a 100 pound ruck and humping 25 miles. I kid really...he's a pretty swell guy.

Any way, glad you found our humble corner of the inter-webz! Welcome to TSC!

Couple of great choices there! I love all things Avon. Sea Zone was my first ever aftershave. Given to me by my grandmother, who was an Avon Rep. And Tai Winds is one of my all time favorite scents, being a clone of Hai Karate.
