Murder Sleuths

One facet of the Coronavirus lockdown for my wife and me is seeing again our DVDs of all the old Agatha Christie Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot mystery shows. This has stimulated some discussion about who the best actors in each role were, among the many who played them. We agreed quickly that David Suchet was the best Poirot, and after some argument we concluded that Joan Hickson, although dour, was the best Miss Marple, followed pretty closely by both Geraldine McEwan and Juliet McKenzie. We could argue about the Star Wars vs. Star Trek series too except that she refuses to watch either one...

Funny you should mention! Since the pandemic began, the missus and I have had a subscription to the BritBox stream. We’re watching the McEwan Miss Marple now!
