Mdc and SMN

Not sure what SMN is. But as to MdC I really like that soap. The Fougure is one of the best smelling one's out there in my personal opinion.

SMN??? No idea.

MdC. It’s a good value for soap as the tub will last at least a year of daily shaves. The scents are fantastic. Performance is mediocre to me. Back on the day, like 8-10 years ago, it was highly regarded as one of the best, and it was. But today, there are so many other soaps out there that perform better. But it’s really all about what you want.

MdC lasts forever, and rinses clean. It is slick, with decent residual slickness. But as others have said, there are better performing soaps. That's my take.

SMN is the way Santa Maria Novella is usually abbreviated. It's the name of a beautiful cathedral in Florence where the monks started making fragrances, etc. hundreds of years ago. The soap is excellent, as is their pre and post products. You'll find discussions about which version is better, the original or the reworked formula. I have them all and frankly can't tell much of a difference.

MdC is excellent as well, lasts forever, yet living in a dry climate, I find it just a bit drying for my skin.

Personally SV is better than MdC. Just my opinion. Both are milled and last a long time. But I feel like the scents are more refined on SV
Well technically MdC isn’t milled at all but it is going to last forever.

The SV line is going to be a better All around soap With better feel, performance and more developed scent while MdC is a well made but basic soap with high quality fragrance that is quite a bit more simple but still very high quality.

I think it might be safe to say MdC is considered quite a bit easier to lather than almost any other soap around.

How does mdc compare to saponificio varesino 4.3
In my opinion, there's no comparison. 4.3 lathers easier, makes a richer slicker lather, the residual slickness of 4.3 is far, far better, and it leaves my face feeling supple and hydrated.
