I like a Fougere scent too…interested in trying the castle Forbes 1445 as well…$60 for the balm….really.
Is it that good? I’ve heard their creams are excellent

MDC has become a staple for me. I have found soaps out there that have a better cushion, or better glide, or I like the scent better... but not all in the same soap. Plus you can lather it in your sleep. It just hits every box with a high mark.

That is subjective, but to me yes

Nice review Dave! Two excellent brands, both well represented in my den (have all available scents from both brands). If you haven’t tried Castle Forbes shave creams, I strongly recommend you do. Like MdC, a small number of scents (4) on offer from CF. IMHO, Castle Forbes Lavender is the best pure lavender scent currently available. Cheers!

Their creams are excellent, and the coral skin food is my all time favorite in wet shaving ,and I’ve been at this for over years now..

I too have been at this for more years than I care to admit and I would agree the creams by Trump are fantastic. The hard soaps are horrible.
