As much maligned as revered, Mitchell's Wool Fat is an icon in the world of wet shaving.
Today, I shaved with the fat and lathered it with the floppiest, scratchiest badger knot in my den---and possibly all of the known shaving-world.
Her are the rest of the players:

I know you're asking yourselves, "how is this admittedly experienced and renowned shaver going to get ANY soap onto that brush?"
Answer:
The grip AND a reasonable wetting of the soap surface.
After loading for about 90 secs, this is what the brush looked like:
Mos def© not pretty, but taking it to the face and incorporating rapid "paint-brush" strokes, adding precious little H2O, the results were phenomenal:
Don't usually like showing my ugly mug on the interweb (sic), but I had to show you what terrific lather MWF makes and EVERY shaver should give to a go once in their shaving career.
