Ladies Frag

Wise Gents (and Ladies) of the Cadre:

Looking to round out my wife’s stocking with a fragrance. She has a few cheapies (no idea what), but doesn’t usually wear much. I’m planning to go smell some, but I have no idea where to start! Any ideas would be welcome. Category: mid 30s sexy momma (literally mother of 2). All season frag would be ideal. Thanks!

YSL black opium EDP (cool weather)
Lolita LEmpicka EDP (all season)
D&G Pour Femme EDP (all season)
YSL Mon Paris EDP (all season, leads towards Spring time IMO)
(my wife also meets your wife’s specs of mid 30’s sexy momma of 2 😉)

Do you know what kinds of scents she already likes? One of the ones she already has but wears more than others? Things at stores or kitschy shops she walks by and says “oh that smells nice!”?

All great questions… but no, not really. Kind of a broad (maybe dumb) question, but looking for things folks think are good as a place to start!

I feel badly my friend - if it were men’s fragrances - I could give you some advice -BadgerFiend has mentioned some very good ones that I have seen on YouTube reviews.

One thing you could do is go to fragrantica.com which allows you to search by scent notes your wife may like and then it returns with fragrances that have reviews. Another thing is going to The Dua Brand - they have both “homages/dupes” and originals that are reasonably priced (especially in the stocking stuffer price range).

Of the Youtubers that I watch from time to time that do also offer up female frag recommendations, I usually see:

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
Versace Dylan Blue Parfum (the male version is very popular and in my experience for frags that have both a men’s and women’s version -they tend to be equally popular.
Carolina Herrera Good Girl
Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal

Of these - you can get the last 3 on the discount sites - so more budget friendly. Chanel never goes on sale. Not even for Christmas. Like the Grinch.
