Karve Razor in SS dropped June 26th

Looks like by the time you buy 3 pieces your at USD @ $150 before shipping, but they are already sold out of top caps. Just handles and some plates left...............

Just an FYI if some were waiting for them.
 
i was hoping to get one of these, but by the time I got home from work the caps were all gone. I figured I didn't want to "debate" with my wife how I needed a new razor if I couldn't get the whole thing. I'll have to wait fir awhile.
 
Interesting way to do it...I wonder why the caps sold out over anything else? People mix n matching with the brass?
 
Interesting approach. So, $245 CAD all in for a handle, bottom plate and top cap. I'd skip the stainless steel and go with the brass. Far more bang for the buck IMHO.

I'm seeing the following on Karve's site:

Top Cap = $65
Handle = $90
Bottom Plate = $50

Total = $205 Canadian. I was wrong. It's not $245. I clearly can't add. And the conversion of the $205 CAD equates to $156.62 USD. I think the brass worked out to about $99 CAD which equates to $75.64 USD. I just don't see SS being worth that much more. It's definitely nicer than brass but I'm a cheap bastard.

Yep, you're right. I was taking $150 usd and converting and getting $196. Close but his converter is more generous to him 😜

I know, I know, resurrecting an older thread! I did order one after months of debate. Moment of weakness, moment of "Iwantsees" taking control, and a moment of pampering myself. I did the BFCM free shipping deal and am now waiting. I hope to report back by Christmas, as Karve Shaving is notorious for long delays between order confirmation and shipping. But I knew that going in. Love the brass version, not sure why I feel the need to try the SS version, but I am complicated like that! Worst case scenario, I sell at a minor loss on BST (or should I up charge!!😜)
 
I gave up waiting. This is the second (second!!!) time I got cold feet while waiting. When they first were available by being on a wait list, I signed up 07/13/19. I made it 4 weeks before deciding to continue with just the brass razor as I like it so much. Then the BFCM thing. But this weekend, I figured I can do better not spending the money on another razor. Made it 7 weeks this time!

Ouch. That's a loooooooooong wait for anything not brand new to the market, imo. I know he has his delays and may be a one man operation still. Nonetheless, 7 weeks strikes me as excessive to not have shipped. Certainly costed him at least one sale.. probably a lot more.

Time to bring in some help... Maybe enlist his kids (if he has any), teach them a trade. Lol.
