Are Kai double edge razor blades really bigger than other blades. Has anyone checked it out?Are there any noticeable differences?

Every time I use a Kai blade I ask myself the same question. Using a metric steel ruler I measured a Kai blade vs Astra SP. Guess what both measure edge to edge 22 mm. When I shave using a Kai it doesn't feel that there is more blade feel. The Kai feels a tinge rough the first shave but smoothens out after that. A Kai blade has no markings on it vs most other blades so I think our eyes play tricks. In other words an optical illusion.
