Just can’t beat my AS-D2

I’ve shaved with a Krona DE razor for most of my life (since 1969) , but since I acquired my AS-D2 I have been amazed at the quality of my shaves, both Head and Face. Almost without exception, every single one of my shaves have been BBSs. I really like this razor. I’ve been using Feather blades and getting 5-7 shaves per blade after flipping the blade following each shave. I’ve just loaded a Kai blade a friend on another forum sent me. Looking forward to using it tomorrow morning. Never used this blade before. Others have said it’s comparable to the feather blade. What’s been your experience?

I find Kai more smooth than feather but not worth their price. My top three are Wizamet, Pol Silver SI and Gillette Silver Blue in that order.

I’m a committed Voskhod man for all my other DE razors.! I didn’t use Feather blades until I bought the AS-D2. I also like Astra Platinum, Bolzano Inox, and Yellow 7 O’Clocks.

All good choices I have 100 or so Voskhod myself. Nice but not as sharp or long lasting, but a good work horse blade. Also PermaSharps, Personna Reds, Rapira Platinum Lux and believe it or not Merkur which many don't like. Had a friend gift me the 100 Merkur and they surprised me. Happy shaves to you too

Love the smooth Kai more than the Feathers. Polsilver, Permasharp, GSB, Voskhod...all good. Wilkinson Sword (German) also good and sharp. I have way too many blades! The AS-D2 I have been looking at for awhile glad you’re loving it! Happy shaves!
