Omega Pro 10048. My first brush, now in use by my oldest. Anybody else start out with it or still have one?

I started out with a different Omega, but owned a 48 at one time.

Had a 49 shortly after I first started…it was OK. Took forever to break in and started becoming a lather hog.

Yes- have pro 48, 49 & 83s (same knot as 49) all in the rotation. All transplanted, all excellent. The big Omega Pros are one of the great deals in wet shaving, imho.

Had one in the chrome handle. Was very big, didn't get much use. Don't know if I still have it or not.

I so happened to be in Italy for work shortly after discovering wet shaving back in 2013 and while there, picked up the Proraso branded Omega broom. Still in the den, still gets used, still a great brush!

I went the Semogue Owners Club route, but I always wondered what I was missing…

I had one and pif'd it to a young lady on the other site starting out wetshaving her legs and looking for a large brush. Been meaning to replace it, just haven't done it yet. Was a good brush.

In my opinion Semogue brushes are the best in the world. Of excellent quality and very durable. You just need to run the brush in, at least 30/40 uses to get a soft hair. It is important to soak it in water for at least 3/4 hours before using it.

Here in Italy Omega 48 is used a lot as it is an economical brush with a long life

I think it was my second maybe. I still have it and a second one also. They're great. I like boar as much as badger, especially after it's broken in.

I have an Omega 10048 as well - because it is Philadelphia Flyers colors - yeah - that’s the way I roll.

Love my '98 and '49 Omega boars. Two of the most incredible values in traditional wet shaving. Fantastic performers as well.
