Greetings:
In years past we have done a Gold dollar Razor modification contest. For those that done know what that is, you take a Gold Dollar Razor ( Very inexpensive ) and the contestants modify these razors into works of art, from blade shave, scales, an more. So, as you can see a humble Gold Dollar Straight Razor can be turned intro a very functional and beautiful Razor.

This thread to to gain interest in having this contest again. We have not had one since 2022. If interested sign up below and if enough entrants, another formal thread with contest dates, completion times etc will be presented

I'm kind of interested, but I'm just not sure I have the time this year. I don't think I can commit, but I'd be glad to cheer everyone else on!!!

Well we are going to extend the build time and procurement time, so I hope you will reconsider

I’m in the same boat as Matt but perhaps a nice long build time frame would make me more comfortable committing. I’m pretty sure I have a few GDs on hand so procurement is less a concern. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked on razors so no telling what I would produce.

In any case I most definitely am interested in the forum having a friendly competition. There are a few newer guys I get the feeling would crush it.

I'd definitely have to get at least one to work on. I have a bit going on but if there is an extended build time I may be able to make something work.
