Hi folks. Chris here. I heard some old friends were popping up in here, and decided to mosey on over and stick my toe in the water.

Howdy, AlsoChris! I am most certainly a traditional shaver. Just posted my first journal entry by way of introduction. I think that the post will answer your questions. But as a tease, the razor seeing the most game time right now is my GEM Clog Pruf, and my favorite brush was custom made by a member of this group.Welcome, fellow Chris person! Glad you could join!
Do you partake in traditional shaving also? What are some of your favorite bits of hardware/software?
I got into it around the middle of 2016. And man. I really jumped in with both feet. I toyed around with straights a little at first, but didn't want to invest in all of what seemed to be required for honing. Never had any proper instruction and the guys I watched online were using some pretty expensive gear. So I sold my straights for a tidy profit, got some shavettes and went at it. I'd like to get into straight when I have the time and resources to do it right. I reckon it didn't help that my first straight was a pristine Boker that I was afraid to mess up, and then an old cheapie that I could not cut a blade of grass with.View attachment 64124
Welcome to the forum Chris! How long have you been wet shaving?
Let me know if you have any questions about straights razors.

Sounds like my first go with straights! There’s loads of us that shave with them and who are happy to heal others get started right.I got into it around the middle of 2016. And man.
