How do you get rid of a scent in a wooden soap bowl?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but if not, someone can put it in the right section.

I have two mango wood soap dishes that I rotate whenever I buy puck refills. I just finished one and so rinsed it out and left it in the back to dry out. I then brought in my other bowl and opened it up and could immediately smell the Dragon's Blood scent that was left over from when I used the bowl over six months ago. I left it on my counter to air out for over two weeks now, but I can still smell the Dragon's Blood scent and am afraid to put any other puck in there for fear that all I will be smelling whenever I lather would be Dragon's Blood.

Any suggestions on how to rid a container of the last scent it contained?

Try soaking for a bit in Dawn dishwashing liquid and then a rinse of barbasol then a rinse with hot then cold water

Thanks Dave, I soaked in Dawn overnight and since I did not have barbasol, I used white vinegar. It worked to the point where I could smell the Dragon's Blood only when I was standing next to the bowl. I then got some baking soda from my refrig, made a paste and worked that in and then added water and let it sit for a while. Now I can smell the Dragon's Blood only if I put my nose to the bowl (and it is very slight).

Maybe I will take KJ's suggestion and use only strong smelling pucks in that bowl. My new order of Dragon's Blood came in it's own tub, and so that problem is solved.
