i tried out the the 2 new stones i got the other day. they seemed to be an improvment over the king stone i have been using. i was able to develop a burr on both sides with about 3 passes on the 1k and 4 passes on the 4k stone. the tip and the heel of the blade gave me some trouble as they always do. Gonna try to find some more knives to sharpen over the weekend. the knife cut rpetty well. i cut up some onions and carrots with it afterword and it did pretty well. the tip and the heel could use a bit more work tho.
