I’ve never really been interested in A&E as a brand. I’ve been given a couple of samples and hated the scents. But Frozen Mojito has me intrigued. While I’m at it, thinking about adding another. Which one? I have it narrowed down to:

Khalifa
L’Orange Vert
Spartacus (Aventus Clone)

I like L' Orange Verte and have been interested in Khalifa as some rave about it. Seems I sniffed it at Pastuer's and wasn't impressed. Not sure which you would prefer. If you like cologne scents maybe the Spartacus which is well spoken of also. So rereading I see I got nothin for you.........sorry. Frozen Mojito is a nice

L orange vert is my vote. The Spartacus is a winning scent but nothing new, the l’orange vert sounds exciting and like it was developed by them. Should be fun.

I voted Khalifa after making some bold deductions about your likes, which are probably totally wrong.

- You like the Aventus scent, but you seem more like a wear it as a scent guy than a shave with it guy, and being in a soap, the scent might be too low for you.

- You’ve never said much (that I’ve see ) about dark orange scents, such as Terre D’Hermes, and you don’t like Lucky Tiger. I think you’d want a purer orange/citrus scent if you could pick. It doesn’t sound like that’s Verte.

I sniffed all of these at Maggard's meet up in early June and they weren't for me. They may be for you though. I have both the SoCal Hipster and the Asian Plum. The performance is excellent in my opinion.

Solid deductions (y)

Im leaning towards the Khalifa.... the one note I’m concerned about is the coffee.

@Lbkindy @Dave in KY
Since you both have smelled it, do you recall a specific note that stood out? Was it an incense type scent, did the coffee stick out? Or was it just a blend and nothing stood out?

I don't remember anything standing out to me but so many times we differ KJ. It may be up your alley. Sorry I can't e more specific but I must have smelled hundreds while I was at Pastuer's. If it didn't click I moved on and quickly forgot any specifics.

The only scent I can speak to, specific to A&E, is L'Orange Verte. It's definitely not as bright as something like Satsuma from Stirling (a bright BRIGHT orange scent), but is like an orange juice with spices added. Not nearly as dark as a Terre D'Hermes...it kind of straddles the line between those two aforementioned scents.

You know what you're going to get from Spartacus...an Aventus clone. Granted, each are different in their own way; some play on the pineapple top note more than others. I'm not sure which way this one leans.

Can't speak to Khalifa at all, so I defer to Dave on this one. With that being said, it is one of Peter's more popular scents.

The orange did it in for me as I don’t like orange scent but always think I might- hated it. The Spartacus I could live with, but it didn’t grab me like The sweetness of the SoCal Hipster that I bought. I’m sorry but I don’t recall any other individual notes.

Sorry, I was only referring to Khalifa with that question.

Think I’ve thought myself out of all of them. Thanks for your help guys.
