Hello All,
My name is Jason and I was encouraged to join here by some fellow wetshavers whom I have a lot of respect for. I've been shaving with a variety of DEs and SEs for 5 years after using shave soap and a brush with carts for about 10 years before that, and I enjoy both vintage and modern razors. Among my favourite shavers are anything that falls within the Gillette NEW family, a Cooper Monobilt, a Barbasol FH, injectors including the modern Supply, a Karve, and a few of the Razorock stainless razors. I'm probably missing a few. For soaps, I've come to especially enjoy 3x milled pucks over the years- the Fine pucks and SV 4.3 soaps coming to mind. Still love the Palmolive sticks, too. Lots of great artisans to round out the den. Splashes are usually limited to stuff that is alcohol based with probably too many faves to mention. I like trying lots of different shave things, but have instituted a 'one in, one out' mantra the past few years to keep the hardware and software piles manageable.
Along the way, I also started turning my own brushes, shave bowls, razor stands etc,. I prefer working in wood, but have played around with pouring resins too. I'm looking forward to conversations with fellow turners on here as well.
