Greetings from the Heartland!!

Hey folk...John here from the Kansas City area (Batman). I was introduced to this site by Dave in KY who I met on another board. We'd shared some samples, soaps & blades. He recommended this site.

I've been wet shaving for about a decade now, maybe more. Got into it when experiencing ingrown hairs and the ridiculous price of carts. Remembered that my father used a TTO. I started googling and that is when the wet shaving insanity began.

I travel a bit and go to antique malls and flea markets to kill some time. End result is 50+ DE's & SE's in the collection, around a dozen brushes, and enough soaps that I could bathe several elephants.

Go-to razors:

Rockwell 6S
Parker Variant
Gillette Red Tip, Ranger Tech, 40's SS
Schick Type I2 Hydro-Magic (chrome)
Type O clone with twin Schick blades

Go-to blades:

Pro-lines
PermaSharp
Astra
Kai

Current Soap faves:

Wholly Kaw
CRSW Glide
Stirling Iced Pineapple

Creams:

St James
Baume.be
T&H 1805

Brushes:

Simpson M6 manchurian badger
Crown King Atomic Rocket Synth
Omega boar
Maggards 24mm synth

Happy to be here!!!

Welcome the Cadre John! Looks like you have a great setup going on! Plus with ten years of experience I am sure you can offer up a lot of knowledge. Happy to have you here!

Nice collection. Hard to argue with your top shelf selections. The Ranger Tech is one I don't have but the 1940's superspeed is quite similar and I think that is one of the best out there.
