Wondering if anyone had shaved with it and what they compare it to?
It looks like they used a DE89 shave head instead of one of their vintage heads.

Probably because the head IS either an EJ or Muhle 89. Not that it is a bad thing because that head design is a great middle road head.

I like the shave that I get from the Gillette Heritage. I wish They had used actual brass rather than pot metal in the construction, but it is a really good shaver.

Okay folks, the Gillette Heritage is back at Amazon and again in very limited supply. I know I wasn't impressed with it the first time around, however, since then I acquired a Carbon CX 316L and the head strngly resembled a cross between a triangle slot and a flat bottom Tech and so I thought a Gillette carrying case and a Common Bar handle would work well with it.
