Finally, the review...
The build quality on this razor is top notch all the way. The parts are solid and they fit together very tightly. The blade is held securely. The handle has deep knurling making a secure grip very easy to achieve. It is also a hefty piece of hardware, clocking in on my kitchen scale at 114 grams without blade installed.

I am not one to shy away from aggressive razors or finicky shave gear (I like using half DE blade shavettes and such) but this one is a bit of a challenge. As you can probably see from the pictures, there is a lots of blade exposure combined with rather large lather slots in the base plate. During the shave there is a ton of blade feel and the blade does vibrate. There is plenty of space in those lather slots to allow folds of skin to enter and get nicked. Combine the head characteristics with the weight of the handle (this is where most of the weight is) and we have a highly aggressive razor on our hands.

My first shave with this beast today left me with all over razor burn that can still be felt 10 hours later. A very light touch is required for this DE. The shave can also benefit from riding the cap. It is also advisable to minimize extra strokes when using this guy.

I am glad that I bought this razor because it presents a challenge to me, but also because it a high quality razor. I am not sure if the PVD coating does much to reduce friction, but I think it makes for a great looking razor. I am going to have to spend more time getting to know this hardware.

Great review, sounds like too much of a best for me, but I get the idea of liking a challenge.

Is the PCV coating obvious? I could imagine it looking pretty cheap, but it looks pretty thin and well done in the pics

Thanks for the review. I been taking second and third looks at that razor because the bronze version was on sale and because I like the looks of it. I also noticed the lather slots being large, but what concerned me was in the Q&A section they had mentioned that this was probably their most aggressive razor. I'm not one to shy away from aggressive razors, however I am not one to seek them out either. I think I will pass on this one.

You lost me at "vibrating Blade". I do love the handle though.
Some blade chatter is to be expected when the whole edge of the blade is uncovered as it is in this razor.

The handle is really awesome. They call it their "Scientist" handle. It looks like there are a couple of razors in their lineup that use the handle.

The level of aggression in this DE is no joke. It is more aggressive that my Muhle R41. My beard doesn't require this level of aggression, but it is something that will really help me improve my technique.

If anyone wants to borrow this for a test drive, send me a PM. I will happily pass it around.
