In pursuit of not missing the next big thing:

In your personal opinion, what is the newest, most exciting shaving soap to be released this year/ this fall?

And GO!

New soap or "New to You" soap?

For me the "new" soap would be Barrister and Mann's "Mélange" Shave Soap.

So far these are my favorite......

But CBL also has some upcoming releases and re-releases that I'm very excited about!

Russian Tea and Orange Dirt are both back and on his website! And Oud Mineral will soon make it's return

And also upcoming.....

Vintage- A woody, warm spicy scent. Pepper, Yuzu and Coriander or the top notes. Incense, Cinnamon, Rose, Virginia Cedar and sandalwood make up the middle and base of this complex, cologne-like scent.
Tootsie- tart cherry, decadent chocolate, almond, metallic ink and cotton all rolled into one. The first impression might remind you of a cherry tootsie pop but the scent evolves and the dry down (post rinse) becomes more inky.
BEE- a clone of Zoologist's "Bee" cologne. A very unique and complex scent that opens with obvious honey/beeswax notes then becomes much, much more. On the whole, this scent takes on a somewhat "metaphysical-shop" like feel. The combined notes form an incense like/inspired feel. The base notes (benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, Labdanum, sandalwood and musk) provide a creamy, spiced-amber like background.
Renaissance (working name, may change)- A blend of Sandalwood, Cedar, Patchouli and sage (essential oils & fragrance oils). The primary note is a creamy/slightly spicy Sandalwood, a blend of cedar oils add some depth to the Sandalwood while the Patchouli brings a fresh liveliness. The sage is barely noticed but rounds out the vibe. Nothing in this scent is overpowering, the individual notes blend nicely to impart a Ren fair like feel that can VERY easily be enjoyed through the day.

This is my top new find of the year.
But I seriously think that Vintage Williams is top tier stuff.
At the same time, I think I'm at the point with soap, that Spider said he was with razor blades. I've got a couple I like, and just don't care to put much more effort into it.

I'm pretty much the same with soaps too. I only buy CBL and Southern Witchcrafts, unless someone else has a scent that I think will be amazing (which hasn't happened in a while).

The Omnibus base from B&M has impressed me.

I also tried the Ethos Vegan Shave Cream for the first time this morning and was very pleased with the result.

Two world class new products both coming out this past month
Not sure what others opinion is, but I thought it was a positive when Will said he would move everything over to the new base, and it would likely be the end game base for him.

I think this has been going on long enough for some stability to start to emerge.

Yeah, my initial impression of Omnibus is that it is really good base. It would be cool if Will turns all of his creative energies to developing better scents, rather than being distracted by improving his base.
