Are we really to the point to where we are milking water buffalos to make soap?

$7.50 PER OZ because it has water buffalo milk whey?! Yea I ain't touching that, just like I don't need civet coffee at those prices either(Mr. KY). I just could not believe what I read when I thought I found a soap I might be interested in.

I hear ya Chad, was just joking. What soap was it ? WK has it and only $24 for 6 ounces of soap

I saw both of these and thought they seemed interesting

@CVargo ... so you’re out on the one that uses whale tallow?
Wait a second... you have to be joking right? That better not exist
Not necessarily the tallow guys... The scent you see listed as “Ambergris” IS from a whales bile duct. When the real deal is used in the fragrance the Ambergris has had to pass through one end or the other or been removed from a dead whale (freshness is not required). The stuff is like a gallstone but it floats and can be collected from the water surface or beaches. So yes, whale!

Wanna know about Castorium?

I have definite opinions on the use and potential value of “exotics” in soap but, other than to say I question whether many brands (not accusing anyone specifically) are including them for their label appeal or their ability to improve lather performance, I will keep them to myself.

If adding Steer milk and angel tears to rat tallow soap makes you happy...I say, Shave On Brother!
