Easily Pronounce Thiers-Issard

In watching lots of shaving videos on YouTube and elsewhere, I've noticed many, many struggles with saying Thiers-Issard. Being a fluent French speaker, I'd like to be of use by giving an easy and straightforward American English way of pronouncing the company name.

Tear (like the wet thing that comes from our eyes) - Ē (like simply saying the name of the letter) sahr

tear - ē sahr (accent on the ahr of sahr)

I hope this information is helpful.

Cheers!

I only own a couple, but this is helpful for the rare video or conversation about them! Thanks for sharing!

I'm so thankful this was of help! I was born in Atlanta, GA, but grew up near Chattanooga, TN. I visited, lived, and worked in France as a professional opera soloist.

Wow what a career! This makes a ton of sense and it’s super interesting! How did you get into wet shaving?
My great grandfather used a DE that made its way to me, along with his shaving mug. I suppose I became curious because of the gleam of the gorgeous metal and the look of his enormous, manicured walrus mustache. That, combined with innate curiosity and a love of all that's old, plus a mind that has a love of detail and complexity, led me to this place.119.jpg
