TSC's "Velveteen Shaver"

The Enders Speed razor was developed around 1930. It was sold by the Enders Razor Company. One of main selling points they tried to get across was the fact that this was a “one piece razor”. You didn't have to (and couldn't) take the razor apart to change blades. The blade slid out and clicked in place. Thanks to an adapter sold by Pete Hendrix some years ago these razors are now usable with the Schick B-20 Proline blade. The colored metal labeled Speed Shaver handles made their appearance in the late 40’s or early 50’s. They are great shavers.

I think the only ones I have look like the black one.
In all honesty, with the adapter mounted with a Schick Type B Proline blade they all deliver the same quality shave, which wasn’t the case with the variety of shim-based methods for shaving with them. I really appreciate the consistency of shave results provided by the adapter.

Pretty cool looking. Very sci-fi…like someone wanted to put a spacey spin on an injector!
For their time they were unique, a one piece razor with blades that snapped in. They were so innovative that Panam used to hand them them out as part of their travel kits to international customers on their China Clipper seaplane flights. Remember in those days (1930’s) most razors broke down into at least two parts.
