Custom DE handle

So....I got this DE handle in the Mystery Travel Box and really liked the weight but it felt short in my hand.

My first DE razor (back in the 1980's!) was a Gillette long handled Black Beauty. So I'm used to the longer handles. But wait....what's this?

The bottom knurled part unscrews!!

So what to do?....what to do? Oh yeah, I work at a place with a machine shop and I can draw up anything I want since I'm the draftsman...

Ta-da!! Now it looks great, it feels great and its the custom bad boy I was looking for. I'll be sending it out for nickel plating soon. And...…..I may be slipping an ultra custom, one of a kind handle into the shop sometime next year. Just don't tell the boss.
 
Nice work! That's pretty cool to be able to make stuff like that.

I told him it was a replacement knob......I didn't indicate what it was replacing....so what he doesn't know, won't cost me any money.
 
So....I've been pondering the comment about when I would be shipping out my first barber pole handles and I'd like to ask:

What would you pay for a handle very similar to the one shown above?
$40?....$50?

Its 4 1/4 inches long and 97 grams. Solid brass with nickel plating. Other plating could be optional for an extra charge.

What say you? I'm gauging interest.
