our previous rudolph gift exchange i was gifted the cella shaving soap. i enjoyed it but i am out of the stuff know. i think it was the original cella not the bio organic stuff barberdave reviewed a while back. do any of you here on the cadre have experience with both? i need to get a refill and wondering if i should go with the newer stuff or stick with the regular cella soap pucks. i did enjoy that particular base. any thoughts would be apreciated thanks

Both of the soaps Thomas are very very good however with the original CELLA you have to be careful because some people have a sensitivity and also some people think it smell smells like almonds. Other people thinks it smell smells like Dr Pepper.

I have both and both are very very good. I prefer the bio because it’s a fresh air cleaner sent and don’t forget you can get those through brand to markets here on the artisan retailer.

I am not familiar with the 'new' stuff but I DO have most of a 1 kilo brick of the old stuff sitting in my den somewhere. I bought the brick from Brands to Markets when they had a sale a couple years ago and gave slices of the stuff as christmas gifts (I probably gave you what you have been enjoying). I like the old stuff enough I dont think I will bother trying the new stuff. The scent is classic and simple and the soap performs as well as any other good soap.

i think i will give the bio version a try and see how it performs, thanks for the reminder about brand to market.

This is true. I am one of the unfortunate ones with a sensitivity to almond oil...it lights my face on fire. No bueno for a shaving soap. This seems to be a fairly common sensitivity.
