CBL Velvet Wood - makes me sad i missed out on the OG

So this another quick review (am I putting these in the right place?) of a recent soap acquired... I always wanted to try the OG soap, I'm not sure what happened, it was OOS before I wanted to pull the trigger. I had a bottle of the rhubarb ASL and loved it.. I was definitely intrigued when CBL popped this one out, wish i would have also grabbed a bottle of the tonic..

CBL APOTHECARY- Velvet Wood

"Velvet Wood- a Smokey, “Velvety” woody scent with hints of Ambergris, sweet fruit and smooth amber. Inspired by iColoniali’s (discontinued) mango oil soap, Velvet Wood is made using a blend of real guaiac wood resin, natural oils/waxes and synthetic aroma chemicals. The result is an intoxicating scent surprisingly similar to the original IColoniali mango oil soap."

I like the soap base, it loads easily and lathers pretty nicely, i really enjoy the scent and can't complain about anything at all. While I wish I had the OG puck and container, i'm good for now.. nice job, CBL.

Great review, I have the private reserve waiting for mug space, might need this also.

it feels underwhelming not to have some 15 factor scale with 1-10 points. and I'm definitely not the guy that goes back to the same puck everyday, i have to force myself to do that, but i've enjoyed the last 2 weeks or so of CBL rotation.

i would like to get my hands on some of cbls's cigar shop indian, but its no longer in stock, another good sounding one was cbl's madagascar spice. unfornatly i joined the forums too late for those ones :( makes me sad as well.

Sometimes Chris has a small back stock or some leftover scent oils that he can mix something up. Always best to contact him!
