It’s been out for just near a month now and I’ve had the new Sabre for just about a month as well. With 17 total shaves all on one GEM SS blade, this offering is a definite improvement over the original design. First, instead of 2 optional base plates, it offers 2 guard plates with 4 settings, 2 on each guard plate. 1 & 2 are on one plate, 3 & 4 are on another. Plates are held in momentarily with magnets until the handle is installed and secured to the base plate/guard combo. Truly an ingenious design that is beautiful and truly simplistic. As always, Blackland always thinks outside of the box in bringing something new to the table and the revamped Sabre is no exception. Truly a wonderful shaver.
