Gentleman and ladies,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scott, and I live just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee in the furthest northwest corner of Georgia. I'm 46 years old, father to an 11.5 year old boy who is my pride and joy, and happily partnered.
I was a full time professional opera soloist for 15 years, and am in semi-retirement. I opened a pipe and cigar accessories business in ~ 2010, and it's still going strong. A few years ago, I opened a photography studio that specializes in fashion editorial and art portraiture. I studied in NYC and have been mentored both in Atlanta and Nashville. That business is finally up on its' feet and running.
In my spare time, I love to engage in wildlife photography. Each year my family travels at least once to camp in Yellowstone National Park, directly on the Yellowstone River. My son loves searching for megafauna in the greater ecosystem and hiking around thermal features. Each morning we're typically up before dawn and frequently crawl back in the tent long after sunset.
I teach photography classes regularly on the use of strobes in art portraiture, as well as long exposure techniques.
I'm frequently in Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, and Washington, Missouri. If you're in one of those areas and would enjoy a coffee or cocktail with another of gentlemanly pursuits, I'm typically always game.
My straight razor collection is extremely modest and I'm quite new. @sanookd has been an invaluable help in getting me started on the right foot. I have a first generation Filarmonica that I don't use, as well as a 2nd generation no. 14 that I do use. Both are in pristine, though not quite mint condition. I also have an 1850s Frederick Reynolds travel size 5/8, near wedge, with genuine tortoise shell scales. It is in remarkable condition.
I look forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge here, and maybe contributing to discussions in areas where I'm qualified.
Cheers!
Scott
