Hi, guys! My name is Ken and I've been in wet-shaving for about 8 months. In that time, I've tried about 60 razors. So far, my favorites (the only ones I've kept) are the Vector Ti, WR2 .95, Timeless Ti, 2 Brit Crats...and a partridge in a pear tree...no, and a Schick Injector. I also have my name on the list for a WR2 Ti! Other than that, I'm good. I emerged here from a B&B rabbit hole...looking for a Simpsons Captain 2 Manchurian...but I decided to start slow and ordered a Captain 2 Best directly from the Isle of Man. So far, my favorite brushes are all from Zenith. My favorite blades (at the moment) are Polsilver, Astra SP (especially for trying out a new razor), Feather, Med Prep, King C...Schick Proline...and Schick Plus. My favorite soap is Baume.Be...then CRSW Glide (although it stinks lol), Shannon's Nil, DG Unscented, etc. I have sensitive skin and (apparently) a sensitive nose because most soaps/creams I can't stand the smell of...they're either too strong or too artificial...or both!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Ken

Welcome aboard, Ken!!

First I thought you were a young Kenny G; then I thought you were Ken, the NYG fan; then I thought my brain is broken, as I'm probably the only few NY Giants fan around. 😜

I have sensitive skin. If any of these fellows can beat Baume.Be let's do it!

Welcome from a fellow NYker!! I’ve enjoyed following your journey over on the other site. Glad you’re here. Now, can you provide some advice as to how I can convince my wife why I need a Timeless Ti when I already have the SS model?

Thanks, Big Apple! Ti is night and day over SS. It's not only the weight and the maneuverability associated with that. There's also an X factor...even though Ti is harder, it feels "softer" on the skin, smoother. Of course, for those of us with sensitive skin, the feeling is going to be more pronounced. But it is there for most people to notice. Timeless Ti is $225 BTW. You could sell your SS afterward.
