Peter just dropped a photo of a soap he's planning on releasing in July sometime...a tribute to Pink Floyd, that I'm going to get...have to get. LOL. no clue on the scent profile, but the artwork on the label is killer...he's been teasing it on social media for a few weeks now. Just figured I'd share a soap I'm excited about being released soon...along with THB Tangerine Creeper and Stirling Varen (fougere)

 
When I get any kind of word what the scent profile in the soap is I'll post it here in this thread. If it's rose, then there'll be more than a few on here disappointed as it won't jive with their skin chemistry.

I can wear battery acid for after shave it won't bother me. My skin can tolerate almost anything. But you put just a little rose in something and it's like fire and brimstone on my face.
 
That’s cool. I haven’t bought soaps in ....I actually can’t remember when I bought a soap. There has been a lot of buzz about this brand I may need to try it out.

Ah yes, I got some Jeeves of Hudson street after kJ sent those samples. Now I remember.
 
I will be very curious about the scent profile, but yes that artwork was very well done!
 
So, Peter hinted that he took some inspiration from the EdT in the picture, Volutes Diptyque. That being said, Peter has put his own twist on each scent that he creates, so I'm expecting something that has the basic DNA of that frag, but will be its own animal.
 
So, I used this soap and AS today. NurseDave PIF'd them to me because he's not fond of the scent. To me, it's woody/spicy, with some rose/floral. Strong scent, likely polarizing, but it smells great to me.

The soap is a top performer, excellent is every way. The AS is a milky splash. I like both a great deal. I'll put up the same photos in my journal.

 
That new base that A&E uses is really good! Top Tier one bordering on elite for me!
 
A&E is a soap base on my list. Their scents sound interesting and they have cool labels. Have heard many positive things about this artisan.

Man...this is a tough one...because some of the soaps that I previously thought were Elite might be getting pushed down a bit. The ones that I can safely say are elite are Declaration Grooming Icarus Base Soap (though some don't like the "funk," I didn't pick up on this), Wholly Kaw Donkey Milk Formulation, CBL Premium Soap/with Hemp Oil.

Ones that are seriously knocking on the door of Elite are: A&E newest formulation, Noble Otter, CBL Premium Soap (and only because I think the hemp oil version is better, otherwise this would likely be elite), Storybook Soap Works (something about this soap that keeps me coming back to it). I am sure I am missing out on a soap or two...but this gives you an idea!

Have you tried CRSW Glide formula. Serious stuff if you find a scent you like

Yup I have...I would put that formulation in the high tier one...maybe knocking on the door of elite...but it's definitely good stuff.

When we are talking about the quality of soaps that are listed here...often times we are just splitting hairs.
