I went to two antique malls today. Found a bunch of stuff, but only came home with one shaving item.

Here is is what I found:

Shaving mug and mustache mugs

2 razors for $8. Almost bought them, but a little beat up. And since they were sealed and I couldn’t inspect them closely and open them, I passed.

Lots of Avon, of course

2 more razors. MM was $18, Inj was 20.....eek!

Avon shaving mug, brush, empty inj case, hair clippers

This is set was too cool. If it was under $5 I’d own it by now.

Straight, mugs/brushes, blade strippers.

Straights

Old Spice decanter (empty, bummer)

Straights, cont. Sorry it doesn’t upload my pics in order..,

Close up of 2 W&B’s

OS mug

Strop.

Avon apothecary decanter. Don’t buy this blue one for aftershave. Green or brown is ok, but the blue one was for mouthwash, and doesn’t have an orifice reducer in it.

I know a lot of you don’t have luck hunting at antique stores, but this was pretty typical of what I find. This was half at 1 store half at the other, but they uploaded out of order so I couldn’t easily say which was from which store. I will po
st the one thing I did buy later, I didn’t take a pic of it yet.

Yea, any of the antique stores I’ve been in here - about half are more country craft that’s antique and the others you’re lucky to find a handful of odds and ends of shaving gear.

We have a lot junk stores in my parts, but I have never seen so much in the way of shaving gear as that.

Hit one more store on the way home.

More Avon

Lots of fountain pens

And a tray of overpriced razors.

It's old, it has to be worth a lot.

That's what the wife and I say when we see stuff way overpriced. I hit a few good deals at the big one close to me, but there are these two Gems in cases that are in really good condition. I would like to own them, but at $93 each, I have just walked by them every time for the last 2 years.

Nice assortment. I went out today to the usual places and saw the same overpriced stuff that was there a couple months ago. I did manage to find a cased super speed and interesting rubberset brush for $12 each. Almost got them but the razor was a little rough looking and I am not in th mood to reknott the brush. I may go back and offer $10 for the brush, it’s the most interesting old rubberset I’ve seen and it’s in really good shape.

i over paid for a NIB Avon Stutz Bearcat filled with something I’ve never heard of ...bravo 7 mix (or something to that effect). Paid $10 then found the same juice down the way a bit and the guy offered to sell me 4 for $10. Should have picked 3 more and took him up on the offer but didn’t.

I am am amazed at the variety you have available out there KJ.

Its not just here. I have traveled a lot for work to many different states. I always have luck finding stuff.

Oh, and it’s probably Blend 7. Bravo is a different scent (and much better!)

Seems to be a lot of flea markets & antique stores here in the Missouri & Arkansas area. Don’t know about other parts of the country but there are certainly a lot of them around here.

yep, blend 7. I tried it last night and this morning, decent and different but not super special.
