Another TSD refugee

Welcome to the forum from Missouri, @americanshamrock , glad you chose to join us. You're in good company, the TSD guys that have joined up with us are knowledgeable and in general really nice folks.

Tell us about your wet shaving journey! I've been wet shaving for about 14 years+/-, started out on B&B and TSD as a Lurker. All these years later I'm a vintage soap, Straight Razor, and Razor hone collector.

Again, thanks for joining us!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

My wet shaving journey began with a false start. In 1986 my grandfather gave me a gillette tech, an ever-ready brush and a puck of Williams. I used them for a few months before I set them aside and picked up "modern" shaving.

Fast forward to 2010. My grandfather passed away and asking the things I inherited was a 1958 gillette shave-pak. Out of nostalgia I brought out the red and white ever-ready brush grabbed the gold travel tech (God only knows what became of the tech he had given me) and found the shave to be greatly superior to what I had been using for decades.

Shortly thereafter I joined TSD and my wet shaving journey really began, complete with a variety of acquisition disorders. DEs, injectors, brushes, soaps, aftershaves, straights...... Around 2021 my life became hectic and my participation in the forum and my acquiring were greatly reduced.

After learning of the end of the forum I found that I missed the camaraderie, banter, AMD posting SOTD pics. So I took a look and decided to join this fine forum.

My primary daily drivers are a Schick E2 with textured head and a Voss cutlery 3 piece DE. Other razors join the rotation upon occasion and on special days I break out a straight. Brushes are whatever appeals to me in the moment. Many soaps to choose from but my ultimate is irisch moos.

Oooh.... G'day 🥃
