Today was hot. Moved the lawn this morning (3-4 hours), so showered and shaved after.
Definitely wanted some heat relief, and CBL Alpine sounded good. Unfortunately it doesn’t have menthol. No problem, I thought I’d grab my TSD M-Bomb and add some drops of mentholy goodness. But it wasn’t in the drawer. But I did spot my 444 Balm.
Now 444 Balm is a menthol based gel that is sold as an aftershave. Most folks add a couple drops to their AS splash to give it some, or bump up the cooling.
I thought, why not try to add it to my soap?
I loaded as normal, then right before I started to face lather, I applied a couple of drops to my brush. It was amazing! Everything I wanted and more! It added just the right amount of cooling. And you could always add more if you wanted.
This is now my go to menthol additive! More now than just an AS additive! Who knew?
