2025 Eucris Lathering Challenge

@Spider

Happy birthday KJ!

Agree looks amazing. Sad it lost the slickness.

I think I’ll ask to leave the thread open but don’t plan on continuing the challenge into May.

My razor grabbed onto every single hair on my face and tugged and drug. This was unshavable! What I realized was I had added no water, aside from what little was in my brush from loading. They don’t call it wet shaving for nothing!!
Wow, a twist in the plot!

Ok. Today I finished the month with hot hot steaming hot water (suggestion from @SJK66 ) with no preshave.

And…

Warmth felt great on my face, but lather wasn’t much better than usual. Maybe bubbles were a little smaller than with cooler water, but still dissipated fairly quickly once applied to my face.

Photo of lather on my face for @NurseDave (I heard you call me out on that video awhile back).

I'm out of suggestions. Seems this soap sucks.
Yeah. 13 shaves later I’ve learned that this is not a good soap.

Some lessons for anyone who gets this stuff.

1) The cream smells just as good and is great to use. Buy that instead.

2) Seriously, the cream is good. Buy that instead.

3) Ok. You insist on the soap. Use a good preshave and lots of it with a small amount of soap. Be careful with water levels, temperature, and adding too much air.

4) It’s very slick on its own, so maybe just rub it directly on your face and go for a latherless slick shave?
