2025 Eucris Lathering Challenge

Hi Cadre!



They say only 3 things in life are certain: death, taxes, and the disappearing lather of GFT Eucris hard soap.



So I thought that for this April we could collectively try to tackle the problem of Eucris hard soap.


But I don’t own any!

Not a problem. I will send you some of my new unused puck, with the following rules:

1. Must sign up by March 21, so I can get it in the mail to you in time to start.

2. Must have 25 posts minimum, i.e. active on the forum.

3. Agree to be active in the thread, posting at least twice a week.



What’s going to stabilize the lather? Soaking the puck? Repeated use? Getting the amount of water dialed in just right? Preshave of some sort? Will it take a synthetic , Badger, or boar? I don’t know, but I hope that together we can figure it out!


The official challenge will start on April 1st!

This challenge has @heysi written all over it. His 2 favorite soaps are ones that a lot of people have problems lathering and get disappearing lather. Maybe HE is the solution!

Umm nope it took me years to get over the Eucris debacle. Already did a Eucris video yrs ago. The only saving grace for this crap is the fragrance. Worst soap ever, even worse than C&E. Which speaks volumes. Shaving is fun…Not torture LOL

By the way, muguet is the French name for lily of the valley. It's one of my favorite scents in wet shaving. Mystic Water's Lily of the valley is amazing.
