Been around various fora for coming up on 20 years. Volume collector of straight razors (as opposed to condition/value focused) mostly to restore and practice honing. I have more than my share of DE and SE and software too.
Will self cut hones if the right rock presents itself. Hell, I'll cut and flatten mud If I think it will put an edge on a blade.
Retired and slowed down on the collecting, but still check in and occasionally post if i have anything to add.

Welcome @joamo ! Glad you could join us!

What are some current favorites out of your shaving gear?
Really hard to say, my software is mood dependent, anything from Yardley to Seaforth Black Watch and lots of croaps and creams in between.
Straights are generally just whatever has been most recently restored or honed although I like the 6/8 on up sizes.
DE is usually a Merkur 38C, SE would be the Gem G Bar.
The gear where I truly have a favorite is the brush, out of dozens to choose from, I select a Hardright Sun Dog, reknotted with a 23 mm synth knot.
It's a lovely butterscotch and burgundy with horn(?) cap.

Currently gardening but I've had many different ones in the past, decorative knot tying, tablet weaving, beading, Civil War reenacting.
We have a few threads going on gardening I was pretty active in those in the past, but haven't done a garden in a couple years. Really want to get back into it. Those other hobbies sound interesting and would make great threads in the "Other Interests" forum if you want to share.

So i googled it and found a chart and it turns out I have done some of that. Many years ago I was taught to do a "single rope braid" using leather strips to create a bracelet.
