Intermediate testing for the Personna Blade wars continues today with the start of a 5-day stint with the Diamond Glide. Still very smooth as compared to the Lab Blue 5-day stint. All other accoutrements worked wonderfully in unison. Was surprised that the Brut paired so nicely with the EF. The addtion of the "Orange Gloves" made the Shave comical at best, but the burns are healing pretty well. A little more debridment of skin and back to bandages for a week or so.

A DSBBS shave.

The GEM diamond glide portion of the persona wars continued today. It’s getting a little bit tough shaving as the burns are healing because the skin is tightening up. I have to be real careful so the skin doesn’t split still using gloves, but made it through the shave OK

Today’s shave, was not as smooth as expected today from the GEM blade however in the end, the alum was a little bit more electric than normal

But overall, a pretty good shape of all things considered

The lab blue/GEM diamond glide wars continue

Well, I don’t know if it’s the bandaged hands that is affecting my technique, but I have to say so far the lab blue is starting to pull ahead

It seems like the longevity of the shave with the GEM is not quite up to par as I noticed by 6 PM. I’m pretty scruffy comparatively to the lab blue. There are three days left on the intermediate testing for the diamond glide, so we’ll see how we end up but so far I think the lab blue is starting to make itself stand out

The GEM is still very smooth and provided a DSBBS shave, but it just seems like the longevity isn’t there, but I am factoring in the burning injuries as well as far as my technique

Will level the plane field again next week when we use the Osprey as the razor

There is so much random variables in this test sequence.....I'm already doubting the findings. Test supervisor Sharon will agree.

Another shave in the intermediate blade wars. Today with PCN Nero. So far I have to say the lab blue is starting to pull ahead quite substantially GEM seeds to be going off pretty fast. It was a good shape, but not quite as smooth and not quite as efficient so unless the GEM does great in the finals. It looks like the lab blue might be the winner, but we shall see when we change razors again.

I was surprised to see how quickly the keenness of the blade fell off

Other than that, a BBS for sure finished off with Penhaligon’s and Endymion

A very nice shave today with CBL BARBA. With the fragrance notes as they are listed above, just a fantastic shave.

I do have to say, however, we just finished the intermediate testing of the lab blue blade and finished up this week with the GEM diamond glide

As of right now, the winner of this section was definitely the lab blue, although the shaves have been good with the GEM the blade fell off. It’s keenness very quickly, and the shaves aren’t quite as smooth as the lab blue after a total of nine shaves on each blade or 27 passes.

We’re gonna continue the next and the final phase of the blade testing with the Blackland Osprey and give our final results 10 days from now

So,it’s a pretty big hill that the GEM has to climb to beat the lab blue

other than the razor, this is the same set up as a shaved with yesterday because it was so nice. I had to do it twice.

Very nice to be back to shaving with a straight razor today before we end up doing the finals on the Blade wars starting on Tuesday

Still sucks shaving with burn bandages, but haven’t killed myself with the lack of fuel with the gloves

Anyway, a great shave today with the CBL products

As for what we’re doing around the ranch, not much however I am enjoying the Long Beach Grand Prix today

A nice shave today with the Queen and and "All over the World Shacve" with Gloves. Finished off with Mediterranean Man, one of Stirling's Best., and a perfect homage to Creed Eurolfa. 3 passes, DSBBS and a video to boot

Barber Errand Day, and Date day for me and the Missus..... Indian Food on the agenda

Finals begin for the Personna Blade Wars, and a Fantastic New Product

A great shave this morning with the Blade War Finals beginning today. Lab blue for the next 5 days followed by the GEM Diamond Glide for 5. So far the Lab Blue has a pretty commanding lead going into the finals, but you can begin to feel the degradation of the blade. However with it being the 1st shave in the Osprey, it could be a variable, as the final result was fantastic, using the same set up as yesterday. With one notable exception.

CBL Premium Barber Powder.

This stuff is FANTASTIC, leaving the face Silku smooth with just a hint of the fragrance, that will go with anything. If 1st impressions are anything this will be yet another WINNER from @CBLindsay and CBL Soaps. Will be testing for the foreseeable future both in the home den, as well as, with all my clients in the shop. Will give a more detailed review after that testing, as well as continued home tests.

Guy changes everything but the blade and has the audacity to say that the razor could be a variable. Sir.....the International Scientific Shaving Community (ISSC) as a whole is not having any more of this sham "test" of yours.
