Been a while, huh? Been busy irl, took time killing some bottles but now I'm back to post and chat

Today's splash is vintage YSL PH After Shave (90°). Mine is the black cap with the atomizer, but the one I bought had about >1/4 and the atomizer was broke, so it had to be yanked out and made into a splash.
If no one here has ever smelled it, it's a unique Citrus Aromatic scent that is defined as "dirty fresh". My best and most simple way to describe it is smelling like a sexy, dirty dish sponge with citrus dish soap on it. It's more than that of course, it's pretty complex but with simple notes, but it's just a unique Fougere at its heart. Lots of citrus, lavender, but with rosemary and geranium, yet there a unique marjoram note which I think should come back.
Mine is old and without being sprayed, this stuff feels thick and almost from concentrate, and when put on its bracing! Not like the normal kind though where it's like the moment you put it on its like lightning slapping your skin (like Stirling's after shaves) but rather when you put it on its like nothing but then a slow crawling burn/sting arrives. I think there may have been real citrus extract in this at some point because it has that same feel.
Overall, love this stuff and I wish YSL wasn't stupid and discontinued it. I mean it's their FIRST men's fragrance and was around for almost 30 years as is, then they re-release it for IFRA for 15 years, then it just vanishes, gone forever. What a shame man. This is such a unique and classic take on the citrus genre of fragrances. Also to note that this was among the rare citrus aromatic fougeres that did NOT contain oakmoss, yet retains that similar dank green vibe it produces.
Fun fact! In the movie version of American Psycho, YSL Pour Homme is canonically Norman Bates signature scent. You can see a bottle of the after shave splash and the edt spray in his bathroom toiletries during the morning routine scene. In the book, however, he actually uses Paul Sebastian cologne.
