Help with a scent match

Hello all,

Wondering if I can have some help.
Given that I am doing a long-term experiment with Martin De Candre Original, can anyone please suggest splash for me? I have been using Proraso Green and Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Gondolier. Are there any better suggestions out there? The MDC is lavender, rosemary (more bergamot like), and very, very subtle mint.

All ideas would be welcome.

MDC Original is a lovely scent. I still regret selling my tub.

I found that the scent was subtle enough that it could pair with just about anything.

Some of my favorites that matched it a bit mor than others were Speick, Myrsol Emulsion, and Myrsol Balsalmic Water (Rosemary, lavender, Thyme)

Thanks. I’ve had more than one recommendation for Agua Balsamica from Myrsol. The description of rosemary , thyme scents got me a bit on edge. I’ve ordered a bottle, I’ll let you know how it turns out. I hope I don’t end up smelling like a herbed roast chicken though. LOL

While I wait for my new Myrsol to arrive, I decided to clean out the back of the cupboard. I found an old bottle of Alt Innsbruk. Menthol, sweet tobacco flower - kinda gives a fresh mountain air vibe. I think it actually meshes well with the MDC original, Whatever the magic or voodoo, I loved it. Why was this at the back of the cupboard? Great scent, diminutive burn, great menthol cool. Super post shave experience.

Yep, Agua Balsamica out of the bottle kinda has a Rosemary roast chicken smothered in Vick’s Vapo Rub vibe. Might not be for me. The Alt Innsbruck is definitely winning the battle at the moment. Hey, the heart wants what the heart wants.

Just a second, as the Agua Balsamica dries down, the scent profile starts to transform into almost a masculine dark woodsy with mint. I’ll have to give this a fair try tomorrow morning. My mind is quickly adapting. I’m starting to understand why this might ultimately be a good pairing for MDC.
