Menthol Monday’s Crummy Experience:

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 3
PAA Cold Spices SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
PAA Cold Spices AS Splash
Stirling Spice Cologne

This bloody Cold Spices soap and aftershave refuse to die - it’s unbelievable. I loaded my brush for an extra ten or fifteen seconds and there’s still some soap left in the jar. Anyway, the menthol itself felt good but I don’t think I have to say how it screws up the Shulton Old Spice scent. Thank goodness that now the container won’t be around for much longer. The Cold Spices aftershave went on with a nice chill but then the menthol started killing the scent so I applied a little of the Stirling Spice cologne and that stuff made me smell delightfully Shulton Old Spice. This morning I had no issues doing my three passes and did I have a lovely BBS shave!

Wishing you all a great week ahead - be well and stay safe!

Ohhhh ken ayna horah!

(A Yiddish blessing that’s given to a child, a friend, or a relative. It literally means “there should be no evil eye”)

Jeff
My Bubbie always used that phrase. My mother-in-law and wife also believe in warding off the evil spirits with wearing red or have a "hendel bendel" (piece of red ribbon) strategically placed in the car and throughout the house. 😱🤪

I hope you don't have too many more shaves of this stuff aa you hate how the menthol messes with the OS scent.

Tuesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #425 Synthetic
Gillette New Improved Razor (1921)
PolSilver Super Iridium Extra Stainless Blade
CWR
Brut After Shave

I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #425. I did one quick pass and touch-ups with the Gillette New Improved Razor with a PolSilver Super Iridium Extra Stainless Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

Ah, Baruch HaShem it’s almost finished. Not only does the menthol ruin the scent, this soap has only two good things going for it. I have to admit that the lather is excellent and it’s also very slick. But despite that its skincare is almost nonexistent so once it’s finished ich hob es in dreyrd! (to h-ll with it!) 😂😂

I'm rooting for you. Do you know what the first soap or cream you will use once that one is finished?
