To be honest with you if my wife had her way I would be shaving either with disposables or cartridge razors and canned dreck. She was completely shocked when she saw my old school shaving stuff and she also seemed to resent it when I converted my father-in-law to our way. I also converted my two brothers-in-law and they love it - so does my father-in-law!

We had a great Shabbat supper - the only thing that I didn’t do was drink any wine when I was reciting the Kiddush because I drink absolutely ZERO alcohol.

I have a really tough, swarthy beard but strangely enough I get awesome shaves every time. But I agree that two weeks with one blade is a lot.

Today's shave was a little irritating. I probably should have given my skin another day of rest. The Peppermint shave soap has light menthol quality to it. It felt great along with the mentholated pre-shave. I got a DFS shave.

Saturday 6/13 Shave

EDGE TEST – Much, much better hone
Added tape to the spine and went back to the 1K bevel set
I could have stopped at two passes with the straight and been DFS+
But then why waste a finish pass with this exquisite Aristocrat
Overall a smooth, clean BBS shave result

That's awesome that you were able to convince your FIL and BsIL to switch. I tried with my son, but he is not interested. He uses unscented Cremo and an electric head razor for his head. He wears a full beard and only shaves his neck and cheeks with the beard trimmer once a week.

Thank you very much! I’m making a conscious effort to highlight the key participants in my shaving lineup. I used to spend a lot of energy trying various ways to get all the shaving participants in a photo. I’m glad I decided to opt for the less is more approach.

Late post but a great shave to start the day. Returned to ETHOS and Frank's "Clean" shave soap. Wonderful lather built with the Sorrentino synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, vintage Williams "Aqua Velva" aftershave splsh & CBL Premium Barber Powder.
