Bingo Game #78 Cruise Ship Bingo

So while you are all arguing, I was eating Pinchos (pollo con salsa BBQ) from a kiosko on a beach in Luquillo

After a hike in El Yunque National Forest.

So once I get back from PR I’ll make my call, if that’s ok @heysi

(Call will be on Monday June 8th)
Ahh my old stomping ground. My mom had a condo there. Miss it! “Jealous”

Oh, and a Corporate decision was made to give Eric full immunity because of where he is located

Not to mention if our bingo caller would actually start calling decent calls before the middle of the afternoon would be nice

Then again, what can we expect from Steven?

Cruise Bingo Day 2:

Day started perfect......Uber driver was cheery and efficient and we arrived at the airport in record time. The checked luggage was under weight so no worries there. Once we arrived at our gate I asked if they were looking for anyone to volunteer their carry-ons for gate checking, the gate agent said she was and as an added bonus, she bumped me up to the second boarding group. So now I don't have to fight with people for overhead space and I got to get on earlier. (that's my travel hint for today....be nice to gate agents and offer to gate check your carry-on...almost always gets you a better boarding spot....plus its good karma to be nice).
Arrived in Houston and gathered up the bags, hit the rental car place and because I did the online check in....my car was waiting for me. Again I got lucky by being nice to the agent out front and she upgraded me to a slightly bigger suv for more comfort. The drive to the hotel near Johnson Space Center was easy and having researched the route...I was able to miss all of the downtown traffic. Checked in and headed over to a BBQ place a few blocks away. Great brisket and I tried a local Houston beer. After that we walked across the parking lot to a sports bar where I was able to watch the Golden Knights game and the Dodgers game at the same time (both teams won). Great travel day made easy by plenty of preplanning. Vacation was off to a fabulous start.

Ok.....now for some Bingo numbers:

Alrighty....there's 4 numbers for today. How's everyone doing? Anyone need any help? I'd be very worried if you did.

But bringing Starbucks gift cards to the crew gets you free alcohol. Yes, I'm aware of the irony of this post directly after my last post.

Oh....new travel tip. Thank you for this. I'll have to try it next time.

And when are you just going to break down and play Bingo with us?

One disadvantage of running a very easy game for the Cadre.......near silence between calls. Plus I imagine the back channel discussions are just about how much beer I'm going to drink on my cruise recap....or at least that's what Bougie is adding to the discussions.

I actually am liking the game even though no hits at all.. it's a nice laid back game..

Cruise Bingo Day 3:

Up early for breakfast and NASA!!!! With baseball as a chaser.
The drive to Johnson Space Center was less than 5 minutes. My research paid off and I'm standing in line 15 minutes before the doors open. I was able to get Mission Control tour tickets online but all other tram tours are first come, first served....so as soon as the doors opened, I made an immediate right and stopped at the customer service desk. I instantly put on the charm and asked if she could get me tickets for the other tram tours and hopefully they wouldn't interfere with my Mission Control tickets....she smiled at me and said "let me see what I can do for you". 2 minutes later she's back with tickets for all 3 additional tram tours and she explains that there's plenty of time between each tour to explore the exhibits and even have lunch. Score!!!! While Kennedy is the face and glamour shot of the NASA complexes....its heart is at Johnson. The astronauts live nearby and they train and work right there at Johnson. So its like being in the center of the NASA world. I geeked out over each building as we passed them. And the historic Mission Control room.....the one they ran every Apollo mission from...where they landed on the moon...where they saved Apollo 13.....it was right there on the other side of the glass.....cigarette butts and all.

All the other exhibits and tours were great and I was having such a great time (I touched a moon rock....and then sanitized my hand several times)...I also got to stand next to my third Saturn V....

Impressive piece of machinery.

The drive to Houston was also well researched and in no time I was pulling into the police station parking lot where the local commuter train stops. The plan was to leave the rental car and take the train into downtown and walk 1 block to the ballpark. A minor discussion ensued about whether the parking lot was sufficiently safe enough for the rental car and I was back in the car heading toward downtown Houston. Didn't take long but I found parking for $20 and after a 4 block walk....we were at the ballpark. Unfortunately we arrived later than I planned and all of the free jerseys were gone......but the ballpark is the reason I'm there. Its a fantastic stadium....probably my third favorite so far. The food was incredible...I had a brisket sandwich and some waffle fries. Saint Arnold Brewing is the oldest craft brewery in Houston and they have a huge area down in the left field corner. I got myself a very nice double IPA and started to walk around the ballpark. They have a "walk of fame" and it didn't take me long to find my favorite baseball player of all time....Nolan Ryan. Enjoyed the game from several spots and once the Astros pitcher gave up a base hit to break up his No-hit bid in the 8th inning.....we were done for the night. Back to the car and on our way to Galveston.

The drive only took about 35 minutes and the hotel was right on the seawall. Checked in and went out front to see the Gulf of Mexico. Sadly the hotel bar closes at 9pm....but the lady at the front desk said that a place 2 blocks east on the seawall stays open until midnight. Dessert and a beer later it was time to call it a night. Another great day on vacation.

Well.....how about a few Bingo numbers?

Well...that's 4 calls for the day. I may award a few bonus calls during the Zoom call on sunday (but they will be for calls on monday-friday....so if you can't make the zoom....no worries....you won't miss any calls). Have a great weekend.

(I touched a moon rock....and then sanitized my hand several times).
I get that thousands of people probably touch that thing every day.... but if I got to touch a moon rock, I think i might just lick my fingers. LOL. Then I'd have a piece of the moon in me forever!!
