Today's shave was a grand freeze. I think I had icicles hanging off my goatee. It went well with today's hot weather. It's supposed to be hotter Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

I learned yesterday from one of the SOTDs that HAGS stands for Have a Great Shave. It is easy to because this is an awesome base. I adore this scent and was very fortunate to find the Roll-On. I’ve come to prefer rollerballs of fragrances. Easy to carry (if one wanted to) and easy to apply. I wonder if the fragrances last longer because they do not have alcohol but rather are set in an oil? Have an awesome day, friends!

Stirling Glacial Citron SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash

Do I ever wish that the Glacial Citron soap and aftershave were available because this stuff is BRILLIANT. The scent is a lovely blend of lemon, lime, tangerine with a little grapefruit thrown in for good measure, the soap lathers to beat the band, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the post-shave feeling is awesome - typical Stirling perfection. The Gold Bond moisturizer doesn’t lack menthol either and it’s so soothing. Finally a couple of splashes of the Glacial Citron aftershave and not only do I have icicles in my face, I smell great. Three passes did the job for me - another most delightful BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Fantastic shave this morning! Returned to CBL Premium Shave Soap and Chris's excellent "Heritage Path" shave soap and tonic. An incredibly refreshing scent with a lovely, slightly herbal green note. The top is very complex. A lot going on. There's also a slightly fruity / sweet note that reminded me of a fresh Granny Smith apple. The scent off the soap is nice, but when the tonic was applied, the fragrance exploded! A wonderfully thick and slick lather built with the Simpson badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave tonic, CBL Premium Barber Powder & Creed "Erolfa" EdP.

BBS bliss!!

Killer freeze, Akhi! I too wish Stirling released Glacial Citron for this season. I was planning on getting some. Glad you have a tub and the splash for your grand freeze shaves. Have a great day.

Awesome shave Akhi! It’s suddenly summer. I’ve been out most of the day doing yardwork. We’re hosting a family event and the barbecue is ready to go! A shave may or may not happen until later this evening.
