Only 1 day of growth. I normally shave every other day. However, with the impending storm and possible power outages if we get hot with the ice, I wanted to get a shave in.

I know my technique is continuing to improve and it does make a difference. However, with my Yates Merica, with all the other blades I've used in it, I've always had extremely smooth and enjoyable shaves. This includes but not limited to, Perma Sharps, Wizamets, Voskhod, Gillette Silver Blues, Gillette Platinums, and even Kai blades. With all these other blades that I get such good shaves from, there is no reason for me to use Feahter blades.

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Every time I use Tabac for some reason I start thinking in German - not to brag but I speak, understand, read and write it perfectly! It’s a language that I learned from my parents!

I used the older stick for my shave but I wanted to show the new one in my SOTD photo because it looks so much better!
